IPL Team Sponsors List See Every Brand Supporting IPL

I got this dumb idea yesterday to list all IPL team sponsors in one place. Just woke up thinking “hey, people might wanna know who’s throwing cash at cricket” but couldn’t find a clean list anywhere. So I grabbed my laptop.

The Struggle Was Real

First I went straight to the main IPL page thinking they’d have sponsor lists. Big mistake. Scrolled forever through flashy player pics and match schedules. Zero sponsor info. Damn pop-up ads kept blocking me too – felt like whack-a-mole closing those suckers.

Then I tried each team’s official page separately. What a mess! Some had “Partners” buried in footer links, others shoved it under “About Us”. Mumbai Indians? You gotta click “Team”, then “About”, then scroll past 4 paragraphs. CSK hides sponsors like secret treasure – finally found them under “Sponsors” (genius name, right?) after loading 15 seconds of slow-mo highlights.

Spreadsheet Nightmare

Opened Google Sheets and made columns: Team Name, Sponsor Name, Category. Easy? Hell no. Got distracted when Punjab Kings called their sponsors “Proud Partners” while Royals said “Official Partners”. Same shit different name. Copied-pasted like mad until my fingers hurt.

Biggest headache? Some sponsors appear for multiple teams! Saw Dream11 everywhere like annoying mosquitoes. Decided to mark these repeat offenders with yellow highlights. By team 5, my sheet looked like a kindergarten art project.

The “Aha!” Mess

Finally noticed something wild around team 7. See, brands use completely different names sometimes! Tata appears as:

  • “Tata Motors” with Mumbai
  • “Tata Neu” with RCB
  • Just plain “Tata” with Titans

Like they’re playing disguise. Thought about fixing this… then saw 3 more brands doing same trick. Screw it – kept their exact names from websites. My list ain’t pretty but it’s real.

Ended up with this frankenstein spreadsheet after 4 coffee refills:

  • Busted ads blocker twice
  • 8 team sites with 5 different layouts
  • 43 sponsors (yes I counted)
  • 17 categories from “Wallet” to “Snacks”

Does it look professional? Absolutely not. But next time someone asks “Who sponsors Lucknow?”, I can show them exactly where to find it buried under 200 pixels of pointless team photos.
