My Weather Check Routine for Pallekele
Woke up this morning thinking I really need to know what the weather’s doing outside. Planning to take the motorbike out later, but only if it ain’t pouring rain. Grabbed my phone, still half-asleep, and opened my usual weather app. Typed in “Pallekele weather” real quick. Annoying thing just spun for ages and finally crapped out. Stupid API probably down again.
Scratched my head and remembered that new service everyone’s talking about online. Pulled up Chrome instead. Searched “Pallekele real time weather”. Finally found that site everyone recommends. Page loaded slow as molasses, but it got there. Saw the main temp flashing right at the top: 38°C. Blimey! Knew it felt hot under the sheets!
Made sure to check the rain alerts next. Didn’t want to get soaked halfway through town. Saw it clearly said “No rain expected in next 4 hours”. Nice! But it showed a tiny little cloud icon around sunset time. Not worried about that – sun’ll be gone by then anyway. Scrolled down to wind and humidity. Wind was chill, like a steady breeze, but humidity showed 75%. Geez, gonna be sticky out there.
Just to be safe, I clicked the hourly breakdown. Here’s what stood out:
- Now: Sun blazing, 38°C
- Lunchtime: Still sunny, hits 39°C (hot enough to fry an egg!)
- Evening (6 PM): Clouds creeping in, temp drops to 28°C
Bookmarked the page fast before my signal dropped again. Real glad I double-checked that humidity though. Decided I’ll take the bike but packing an extra water bottle. That kinda sticky heat’ll suck you dry faster than an air fryer. Maybe skip the leather jacket too. All set now – time for some brekkie!
