Needed Kedar Jadhav’s stats for a project last week, felt like a total waste of time at first. Kept googling basic stuff like “Kedar Jadhav batting average” and “Kedar Jadhav runs”, yawn, boring general sites popping up everywhere. Didn’t tell me squat about his last IPL season or those weird domestic matches ages ago. Basic numbers, useless.
So I Started Digging Deeper
Remembered he played county cricket somewhere, right? Crawled through some random county cricket sites, total disaster. Layouts looked like they were built in the 90s, navigation pure garbage. Found scraps, but nothing solid. Felt like hitting a brick wall. Pissed me off.
Tried fan pages and blogs next, thinking maybe some superfan tracked him. Big mistake. Found lots of “Oh Jadhav is awesome!!” posts with cute pics and zero stats. Worse than useless. Nearly gave up right there.
The Obvious Finally Hit Me
Duh. Major cricket databases. Facepalmed hard. Jumped onto ESPN. Searched his name, bam! Proper profile page popped up. Filters for formats—Tests, ODIs, T20s—clean as hell. Even split stats by country and year. Exactly what I needed for international stuff. Found his strike rate against spinners in like ten seconds. Saved.
But what about IPL and other leagues? Cricinfo had IPL covered solidly—innings breakdowns, partnerships, the whole deal. But needed deeper domestic data. Went over to Cricbuzz. Better domestic coverage. Searched his name, clicked the profile. Full listings for Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare, even that random Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy knock he played back whenever.
Sources That Actually Worked
- ESPN: Best for overall international stats & fancy breakdowns.
- Cricinfo: Reliable IPL history & tournament-specific data.
- Cricbuzz: Strong for those obscure domestic matches I lost sleep over.
Bottom line? Google sucks for serious stats hunting. Skip fan sites entirely, they’re black holes. Go straight to the big databases. Took me hours of frustration to learn that.
